Verify Before Repeating a Claim
"O you who have believed, if there comes to you a disobedient one with information, investigate, lest you harm a people out of ignorance and become, over what you have done, regretful." (Qur'an 49:6)
Check the original report, date, location, named sources, and later corrections. When evidence is incomplete, say that it is incomplete. Careful verification is not indifference to suffering; it is part of refusing to harm people through false claims.
