The Quran never makes Eve the unique cause of humanity's fall. Adam and his wife are tempted, disobey, repent, and receive God's mercy together. Islam teaches no inherited guilt from either parent: every person is born morally unburdened and answers for his or her own choices.

Islam gave women defined shares of inheritance, independent ownership, and legal identity in a society where these protections were often insecure. Some shares differ because men carry mandatory financial duties that women do not. Quran 2:282's two-woman provision concerns documenting a specific deferred-debt transaction; it is not a statement that every woman's word or mind is worth half a man's.

Islam treats marriage as a serious covenant built on consent, mercy, financial responsibility, and mutual rights. It permits divorce when a marriage cannot be repaired and gives women independent routes to separation. Polygyny was restricted to four and conditioned on justice; the Quran warns that perfect equality is beyond human ability. No Islamic rule makes coercion, abuse, or child harm acceptable.

Islam's highest sources establish women's full human and spiritual worth. The Quran gives men and women one origin, equal moral responsibility, and the same promise of forgiveness and reward. Some later Muslim and Christian writings contain harsh language that must be read critically, but neither cultural prejudice nor a difficult isolated text can overturn the Quran's clear foundation or the Prophet's treatment of women.
